Sorry for the lack of posts over the past few days...John and I took our last vacation for a while and went on a cruise! We had an absolutely amazing time! The whole trip was so relaxing and refreshing. I think knowing it was our last trip (at least without Baby Jack) for so long made it even more enjoyable. I was a little nervous to fly incase something happened to the baby, but our little guy was a trooper! He is starting to move around quite a bit- imagine a fish out of water flopping around... best way I can think to describe it! It's still not strong enough movement for anyone to feel from the outside of my stomach- but hopefully soon!
While the trip was wonderful, it was great to return home to Sophie! She had so much fun staying with her aunt Angie and uncle Brad that I'm not sure she really even missed us! I can't imagine what leaving a child will be like when it is already so hard for me to leave Sophie with anyone.
The weather in Charlotte is beautiful and warm right now. The bradford pear trees are starting to bloom and spring seems to be on the way! Tonight John and I took Sophie on a long walk... which slowly turned in to social hour with our neighbors. I was reminded once again how much I LOVE our cute little neighborhood! It seems everyone wants to be outside talking when the weather is this gorgeous! One of our good friends and neighbors down the street is also pregnant with a little boy due in June. It's so neat to think little Jack already has a built in buddy right down the street. It reminds me of my own childhood with Ashley and Kim!
On another not so fun note, I have developed cankles! Eww! My ankles and feet are so swollen! I know this is normal during pregnancy, and I guess if that's my one complaint I am still very lucky- but I don't like it! And it's only March! Just wait til June, right? :)
