Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! It seems like they go way too fast... Anyway, our weekend was fabulous. Saturday we spent all day cleaning. And I do mean ALL day. But it was so worth it. The house looks great and it was nice to have absolutely nothing we had to get done today. John's parents and youngest brother came over for dinner Saturday night. They usually have us to their house for dinner, so it's always fun for us to have them to our house for a change. Dinner consisted of pork chops, cheesy potato casserole, green beans, and salad. YUM! I'm not usually a pork chop fan but I must say that John really did a great job. All his good grilling means I can't complain that our grill is the size of most people's patio tables! It's huge! Seriously though, I am lucky my husband is such a great cook and that he really enjoys it! Speaking of patios, ours is finally finished, yay!
Today we woke up early and ran errands before mass and after mass- most of which consisted of looking for cushions for the patio chairs. On our fourth trip to Home Depot (yes, you read that right, I did say fourth!) we decided on cushions, bought them, and spent the rest of the afternoon until just after sunset lounging in the sun on our patio, eating chips and salsa. When the sun went down and it got chilly we started up the fire pit. What a perfect afternoon and night! The weather in Charlotte has been perfect and I'm looking forward to more of it! Sophie loved every minute of our patio time because being outside meant we could throw her tennis ball to her all day long. I swear, she would chase and catch that ball a million times if we could throw it that many... and that still wouldn't be enough for her!
On the baby front (the reason most of you are reading this in the first place!) things are still going great! I will be 6 months along-24 weeks- tomorrow! Time has just flown by! The 24 week mark is huge because it's the point that if anything should go wrong and I had to deliver early the chances of Baby Jack's survival go way up. Of course I am hoping and praying I carry him until full term, but knowing odds are in his favor just incase I don't sure is a huge relief! I'm feeling him move around a lot more, although John has still yet to feel him moving from the outside! My next dr. appointment is this Thursday. I think I have to take my glucose test for gestational diabetes, so say a little prayer for Baby Jack and me! I will definitely keep you all updated after the appointment to track our little guy's progress!
Hope you all had a great weekend!
