Our weekend was nice and relaxing. Saturday I made a home made cake for John's mom's birthday and also finalized plans for my downstairs window treatments. I can't wait for them to arrive!
On an unrelated note, lately it has come to my attention just how SPOILED Sophie is! I mean, she IS the easiest to spoil because she's so sweet! And I realized John and I do treat her like our first born favorite child (hey, she is!) Here's a little story as a perfect example of how silly she is... Every night before John goes to bed he gets a huge cup of water filled mostly with ice. Sophie has already learned that if she comes to the fridge during this time she will get an ice cube (we call it a "cube"). John chews a lot of the ice cubes while watching TV in bed...but he also gives a lot of cubes to Sophie. This has progressed to the point that if anyone picks up the cup to take a sip of water she hears the cubes hit the cup and dashes over to get for one. So, the other night John and I were in the bathroom getting ready for bed when we heard a scratching noise. Sophie was up on John's side of the bed with her two little paws on his nightstand, scratching and swatting at the edge of the nightstand at his cup! Her head was tilted with her ears perked while she swatted and stared at his cup of ice. As if to say "um, excuse me mom and dad, but I am ready for another ice cube!" This went on a for a while and was absolutely hilarious. Of course she eventually got a cube. We do have pictures, which I will post soon. Seriously, she was just too cute!
I have picked a crib for Jack... images to come soon :)
I can hardly wait to see you guys next week! I love reading your blog--it's awesome! Love you!!!!!
