Ah, Summer

It finally feels like summer has arrived!  John got his Father's Day present early- a smoker.  He has been wanting this for a long time, and what better time of year to get one than summer!  In honor of the smoker, tonight he is smoking Boston pork shoulder.  We will shred it up and eat it like a bar b que sandwich.  Let me tell ya, it smells absolutely delicious!   I will be making pasta salad and peach cobbler, and a few of our neighbors are probably stopping by.   

After a long, productive, and exhausting trip to Wal-Mart this morning, I am resting.  I have been reluctant to let myself just rest for a long time.  My thought has been that as long as I feel like doing something I am going to do it.  Not today.  My days of spending time doing what I want to do are very limited at this point.  It feels SO good to just lounge around and not do much.  The third trimester has finally caught up with me.  I'm just exhausted.  Still feeling pretty good- just exhausted!  I do need to make my peach cobbler- but that's about it for today!  Anything else will just have to wait!
