The weather in Charlotte was absolutely gorgeous this weekend! John and I decided to take advantage of such good weather and take Sophie on several long walks and clean the garage.
On Saturday, John had real estate class and I cleaned. Saturday night we had John's brother and his fiancee over for fondue- YUM! We got a fondue pot as a wedding gift and have been dying to use it. I had no idea how easy it would be! We started with a cheddar/pepper jack cheese and salsa fondue. I have become obsessed with this and have wanted to make it every night since! It's delicious! I will post the recipe for anyone interested. We had Milky Way chocolate fondue for dessert- equally good, but by that point I was too full to really enjoy it!
Sunday was project day around the house... kind of funny, considering we are two of the least handy people I know, but I must say, we have made huge improvements! And- everyone ready for this- after an early morning trip to Home Depot, we actually have a tool box! John installed a ceiling fan all by himself !(I helped-by reading the directions haha). It looks great, and our bedroom is finally starting to look complete. I will add pictures of this as soon as I figure out how. Our goal is to try to finish our bedroom and paint the downstairs- then we are pretty much finished with house projects until it's time to get the nursery ready!
